Changes

There have been a lot of changes in my life lately... Since the last time I wrote, I traveled to Hawaii, finished my sophomore year of college, Jonathan and I broke up and I have been getting closer to old and new friends.

My trip to Hawaii was absolutely wonderful! I spent some much needed time with my good friend Jenn. :-) The scenery was very beautiful and we spent a lot of time driving around the island in a Mazda Miata two seater! A lot of days on the beach, doing tourist things like visiting the Pearl Harbor and shopping! The newest trip that I am looking forward to would have to be going to San Antonio, TX! I am visiting my best friend Kathleen!! I leave this Friday, which is very exciting since I have not seen her in over a year now. Our friend and "little sister" Marie will also be visiting us in San Antonio. It will be absolutely wonderful to have 10 days off of work!! I am very excited about it.

I have spent the majority of my time in the last few weeks at Abuelos (where I work). I have been there 7 or 8 days in a row and today is my first day off! I am grateful for the day off today because our restaurant will be ridiculously dead today... since it is the 4th of July.. Who would go celebrate America's independence by eating Mexican food? haha.

The other day I started buying school books for the Fall... not really looking forward to going back to school... I am dreading it already and I still have 2 months to go. I cant believe I will be a junior in the Fall... time goes by so fast... before I know it I will be graduating and starting my "independent life".

I really have not talked about it much...but Jonathan and I broke up back in April... I was pretty crushed for a long time... I have learned to branch out and be myself lately. I realized that I am actually much happier lately and I have been meeting a lot of new people in my life that have helped me SO much with that. It has definitely been one of the hardest things I have had to go through in my life. Its hard to go from seeing a person every day to never seeing them at all and barely talking.... 3 1/2 years of habit is hard to break.. BUT I have been doing well and growing spiritually and as a person. So that is good...

Anyway, I am going to go. I am spending the 4th with my friend Cara.. We are going to check out the festivities going on down by the beach and probably going to Mount Trashmore later on tonight :-D

Trudging Along

This week and next week I will be trudging along just trying to get to Spring Break. My life has been demanding between trying to complete everything for school, study, work, and spend a decent amount of time with Jonathan. I feel like there are not enough hours in the day to do what needs to be done.

Lately Jon and I's work schedules have been completely opposite (When Im working night shift, he is working day shift and vice versa). This is frustrating sometimes since I cannot see him as much as I would like to. Oh well.. that is life for you I guess.. :-\

Tomorrow I am going to lunch and then going shopping with Rachael. I have seen or hung out with her in forever. I want to go looking for a few new summer outfits to take with me to Hawaii.
Rachael and I used to always shop together and these past few days we have been thinking about the past and how much we used to hang out. We missed it and decided to hang out tomorrow.. So... I am looking forward to that :-)

As I am spending time writing in this blog, trying to remember to write down my thoughts.. I always think of all the things I could be doing besides writing on here.
I need to go read some history before I have to go to work at 5.

Mexican Food

I just walked in the door from work and I smell strongly like mexican food. I am glad that my replacement came in early today, because I am very tired. I was up last night until around 3:30 this morning. Reason being, I got off of work around 11, then went to Buffalo Wild Wings with Jon to eat a late dinner. I came home around 1 AM to find my house empty.. Which is unusual for my house at that hour. Last night my sister was out celebrating her 13th birthday with a few of her friends and they were having a "lock in" which included going to the movies, mall, bowling, laser quest etc. When my family, Kaela and her friends came home at 2, She decided she wanted to open her presents at two in the morning.. I cant believe my little sister is now a teenager! That is crazy... considering she is a little less than six years younger than me. Time goes by soooo fast!

This morning, I woke up and rushed to work only to find out after I had been working for 2 hours that I had arrived an hour early. I guess I am a creature of habit. I am so used to working at 11 on Sundays that I guess I just assumed that that was when I was supposed to go to work. Oh well.. At least I had more tables than I would have had.

Right now, I think I will try to get ahead on some homework for the week so I am less stressed then last week.

New to this blogging thing

I have never really been into blogging.. I have always started one, but failed to write in it regularly. Half of the time, I feel like my life is too boring and bland to have anything interesting to write about.

Well lets see..

This past week my life has been crazy. I had 1 paper, 3 quizzes and 3 tests to study for. I was extremely stressed out and it did not help that 2 of my tests got postponed to later on in the week. This resulted in me studying every night until midnight-two in the morning and drinking a lot of Starbucks. I am glad that Jonathan has been encouraging me and has helped me keep my stress level down somewhat this week. Thankfully, I was able to complete everything.. I am currently unsure of my grades on my tests at the moment.

I am hoping that with my GPA, I will somehow be able to receive a scholarship grant of some kind.. I have been continuously trying and hopefully my efforts will pay off.

Right now, I am really looking forward to visiting Hawaii!!! I leave thirteen days from today for my Spring Break getaway to visit one of my good friends, Jenn :-) I have never been to Hawaii before and I hope to take lots of pictures to share them with friends at home. Spending a week in paradise will be nice. It will be great to not have to go to school or work for a whole week. It will also be nice to be on the beach and to wear shorts and skirts for awhile. I am really tired of this chilly weather.. It stinks being skinny sometimes, I have to wear a jacket if it is under 70 degrees half the time.

Well.. I should go, I have to catch up on some homework and do some cleaning around the house before I go to work tonight :-)
